This is a TED talk given by Anthony Atala on his lab’s ability to create new organs. Yes, that’s right, new organs. If your pancreas is not functioning as it should, no problem, Atala can take cells from your pancreas, put it through some special 21st-century science mumbo-jumbo, then send it back into you and over a short period of time your pancreas will be new and improved. Atala puts it this way, if amphibians are capable of regrowing limbs, why can’t we?
